Why is it that in a recession liberals like to blame the rich? Why do they always blame the rich and act like they are these evil people?
Not the rich. The thieves. The rich thieves.

Everybody blames everybody else. The government didn't blame itself, the SEC didn't blame itself, the banks didn't blame themselves, and the sub-prime home-owners didn't blame themselves.

The state-governments didn't blame themselves, the companies' board of directors didn't blame themselves.

The rich are an easy target. They lose by numbers. The working class doesn't need logic to win, they just have to shout loud enough, and the government bends.

I assume by liberals you mean the left, who in fact blame economic systems that enrich the few at the expense of the many.

* You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
>* You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
>* You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
* You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
>* You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
* You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
>* You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
* You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
* You cannot build character and courage by destroying men's initiative and independence.
* And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

Modern Liberals blame the rich because they think the rich cheated in some manner.
As weird as that sounds it's explained here...

this is exactly what economic systems such as capatalism do.

You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

sure you can, by freeing an individual from wage slavery.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

While there are classes there can be no brotherhood of man.

Explain to us how capitalism weakens the strong then.

You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

FAIL
All that does is bring the wage payer down. The "wage slavery" is still there.
Even if you lift all the wages... nothing changes because the dollar still buys the same because it's been devalued.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
While there are classes there can be no brotherhood of man.

So then the black man or the yellow man is not your brother and he is not your equal.
Are you a racist?

@ goldbrek

Welcome to the board.

Those points are argued on a daily basis on PoFo. To see the pros and cons of that argument, check the forums, most of them, and your argument will have already been discussed over and over and over again.

Not the rich. The thieves. The rich thieves.

No one is blaming thieves.

Are you calling all the rich people thieves?

Absolutely not. In fact plenty of rich people call receivers of billions in tax-payer provided corporate welfare thieves too.

Classes: Socioeconomic divisions

Race: the categorization of humans into populations or groups on the basis of various sets of heritable characteristics.

And the other difference between race and class, you can change your class and move up higher in the hierarchy.

race and socio-economic classifications are both artificial class definitions. in theory it is possible to abolish both and in theory it is possible to move from one to another in both types of classifications.

Michael Jackson proved that you can change your race, too.

He also had a disease which occurs among black men whereby one's skin changes from dark to light over the course of one's lifetime. Unsightly white splotches appear across one's body. Jackson, odd though he may have been, underwent skin depigmentation to avoid this, not out of some bizarre desire to "switch races".

Um...I don't blame them on some abstract group called "the rich." I blame them on several institutions which generally involve different forms of speculation. The fact that the people behind these institutions happen to be rich is simply a necessary consequence of the fact that poor people don't have much influence.
