The Swedish Foreign Minister, Margot Wallström, wants an investigation "to determine if Israel was guilty of extrajudicial killings of Palestinians during the recent wave of violence there". She is not alone as the "United States, the European Union and the United Nations have all expressed concern" at the deaths of at least 133 Palestinians during the past three months when 21 Israelis were killed during the same period.

It is, needless to say, puzzling to Israelis that international opinion of them seeks to restrain a fire-at-will attitude of the Israel Defense Forces, "Border" Police, and gun-toting Israeli citizens. They expect us to take their word that all killings of Palestinians are and always will be justified.
