You can investigate Israeli actions as much as you want but don't pretend you are being impartial, that your inquiry has much validity or that you are a big defender of human rights if you refuse to investigate the crimes allegedly committed by all actors.

Likewise, don't pretend you have no racially-motivated bias if you refuse to investigate alleged crimes against a population based on ethnorreligious identity of the alleged victims. If you want a shred of credibility about your claims of being a defender of human rights, then you'd better support investigating crimes against everyone without discriminating their ethnorreligious origin.

Of course, once you do this all this narrative you are trying to push is heavily undermined.

This is a transparent ruse to stifle criticism of Israel for its crimes against humanity.

The United Nations Human Rights Council is not anti-Semitic nor does it deny The Holocaust.

Quite a few of the governments currently sitting in it actually are antisemitic and engage in Holocaust denial from time to time.

Or what, are we going to pretend that the Saudi regime currently chairing the council allows Judaism to be practiced freely within its territory?

Israel's ally, the USA, is happy with the Saud family being on UNHRC. All members are elected by the UN countries. It is true that Israel is unpopular in the world for some reason.

Indeed, because that is a political and diplomatic consideration that trumps human rights advocacy.

Indeed, because they vote according to political considerations that trump human rights advocacy - hence the very presence of Saudi Arabia and other countries with poor human rights records there.

It is indeed, and for many reasons - some of them legitimate while others are clearly illegitimate ones.
