That's a bullshit quote if ever there was one.

Terrorism : the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.

Freedom Fighter: a person who takes part in a violent struggle to achieve a political goal, especially in order to overthrow their government.

Two different things.

Most people termed Freedom fighters are some sort of uprising against an occupying power (domestic or foreign) that often leads to some sort of irregular guerrilla tactics and charges (correctly or not) or terrorism.

I would think almost all people described as "freedom fighter" by their supporters have been described as "terrorists" by their opposition.

Irgun - Terrorists? or Freedom Fighters? etc etc etc

Well if Irgun deliberately killed civilians in Mandatory Palestine under British administration in at least some of its attacks, yes, it was a terrorist group.

Actually no.

Hamas are the only group who keeps the true plight of the Palestinians alive in the international consciousness. If not for them, the international community would have rolled over and meekly accepted Israel's canton/concentration camp solution years ago.

Why do you think Israel feels the need to conduct an indiscriminate massacre of Gaza every 2-3 years?

Hamas is nothing more than an Islamic sell-sword organization for the highest Arab or Muslim bidder. When a despotic petro-Arab or Islamic theocratic regime wants to buy domestic legitimacy, they send money and weapons to Hamas and cry "Nakba, Nakba!" These 'Palestinian' organizations are prostituting and holding hostage the Arab population in the Palestinian territories and heap upon them misery, misfortune and the hardships of war. And for what? These Arabs could have already permanently settled in any region of the Arab world.

Muslim-Arab supremacists excel in mendacity and self-delusion. The ever hardening stance of the Israelis is one to be expected.

The Bush administration mangled the term "Terrorist" to the point that it means little to nothing anymore.
Such is the result of electing short-sighted, greedy dolts to power.

Hamas is a reaction to the the creation of Israel.
A rather simplified summary, but accurate.

Looking at the Israeli/Palestinian issues with CNN blinders on may be easy and clear-cut...but it's this type of viewpoint that serves to perpetuate the problems, rather than alleviate.
