Why was the book of Enoch really removed from the bible? What they don't want you to know.

The Holy Bible is the best selling Book of all times. The texts are considered sacred by many and even inspired by the Creator of the universe. Within it's pages many believe one can fine the important truths that lead to eternal life.

so popular = good. the more popular a thing is the better it is? highly dubious there are many examples were this is not true. are you saying if some other book became bigger selling it would be more important, more true? many people believe all sorts of things. you can find plenty of stiff to believe in any book that bog and that rambley, but what is and what is not in the bible is quite arbitrary, it was subject to political editing.

if the book is so important why don't you read it in the original language? you want the word of god but words of some translator?

I do not have to read it in the original languages, because it has been adequately translated into many languages which makes it unnecessary to read it in the original languages. It is better to read it in a language one understands well. If one wishes to learn those old languages, then fine, but I don't want to waste my time on that.

unless you know those old languages ho who you know it's translated well?

hmm the word of god it's all important to get but only if it requires no real effort. really why actually read the bible when you get the gist from what people say about it.

In the case of the English language, the Holy Bible has been translated over and over and by different people and people working in groups to get the correct meaning. Some translate more in a word for word manner and others in a paraphrase method to get to the meaning of the text. So by comparing these versions, one can be sure of the correct meaning; and if any conflicts seem to arise, then further study can be done in that area to come to the true meaning. Many scholars have done this before us and have written their own commentaries which can be consulted.

Too many people have never read through the Holy Bible for themselves and when they hear someone make a false statement concerning it, they have nothing to compare to get the truth. But even when reading the Holy Bible for oneself, it is often difficult to understand some portions. In that case, it is normally best to accept the orthodox understanding presented by the majority of Christian denominations than to go with an unorthodox meaning, unless there is very good reasons to do so.

The basic doctrines are accepted by all orthodox Christian groups. But there are groups like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormans that have their own special book and put forward a distorted version of Christianity that one should be careful of. But even studying their versions may be helpful to some in making it clear as to the true and false teachings.

translation of the bible has always been an intensely political act. no one translates it without a barrow to push and the fact that translations agree might be more to do with shared agendas. the choice of which works are included in the bible cannon is extremely arbitrary.

If that is so, then it is even more important to compare the translations and conflicts to come to the correct meaning.
