What if after taking Jerusalem, the Jews rebuilt the temple on the mount, what would have happend.

Why would it matter? That area has been war torn for the last 2 thousand years. More war, less war but still war. That area is claimed by 3 religions that all worship the same deity and all presume to claim the believe in peace and love but not one entity among them can get together and fucking share.

What divergence do you think would have occurred and why?
