Ok? I am not seeing a point here. 800k is a lot of dead people. People vast majority of whom could be still alive, with their families and friends, producing something or doing their business, being business owners or doing their own work, paying taxes, having fun etc.

It's much lower than that when you figure many asymptomatic people get COVID and don't know it and that doesn't show up in the case counts because many people who get COVID were never tested for it. The death rate is probably below 1%.

Worse argument ever. That is potentially 5.3m dead.

I think there is a lot of unwanted or useful hysteria going about. But that is because the chances of dying must be significantly below 1%. If you are arguing that 5.3m people dying is ok, then you haven't made a very good case. And to give you an idea of how stupid your case is, a hundred smarties in a tube. One is poisoned. Are you going to take one and eat it?

The death rate of the entire Second World War - the most destructive conflict in human history - was about 3% of the world population. The mortality rate of Covid-19 is somewhere between 2% and 3%.
