A few days ago I read an article in the Dutch newspaper 'Volkskrant' about something quite interesting about the French president Hollande:
He keeps messing up his handshakes...

A good rule when in such situations is to let the other person lead. Wait until they give the signal. Remain dignified and slightly not expressive.

These are silly pictures. They were obviously taken just before the other person reciprocates. Someone has to make the first move, and of course there will always be a split second in which one hand is left hanging.
