The last time I took this was last April. It's a long test so I just used the old numbers.

Economic Left/Right: -6.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.15

Then again, orthodox Marxists say I am a capitalist, and libertarians that I am statist.

Social liberal with market socialist, sentiocentric, and cosmopolitan tendencies.
Political Compass results on 31/1/2013: -5.88 (Economic), -8.46 (Social)

Do you believe in the state? Your a statist, not neccesarily an authoritarian statist but a statist.

Do you not believe in total and complete worker ownership of the means of production? Then at some level your a capitalist.

My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders.

"Statism" is not an ideology in any sense, don't listen to libertarians. Communists also want "states" to wither away but they still are statists as we can't just wish it away.
