Satire November 2008 - Page 6 - Politics Forum.org | PoFo

Wandering the information superhighway, he came upon the last refuge of civilization, PoFo, the only forum on the internet ...

Political and non-political satire; all those terribly biased analogies live here.

"Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work from the group of people who get it for free has skyrocketed, and there's a long waiting list of those who need repairs. This has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business, and they're not being replaced – nobody is going into the plumbing business because they know they won't make any money. I'm hurting now too – all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won't pay their fair share."

Brilliant. If plumbers were free, people would go around destroying their own pipes. What cutting observational humour

I, myself, cannot believe how often people here in the UK stab themselves in the leg because the treatment is free.

Lol. If "judgment day begins" was a consequence of Gay Marriage, the evangelicals would likely throw their weight behind it.

What would being a democrat have to do with it?

Do you guys really not get it or are you being sarcastic?

If you don't get it, then perhaps you're obviously not familiar with this part of American history.

How I understood it..The Republican's are crying 'socialist'. The Republican (in the tux) did not care about anything the other guy was telling him until it was to have an effect on the Republican's wallet.

No, the guy is wearing a top hat to represent the rich, while the other guy is meant to be the average person (aka the worker)

And that is exactly how Obama portrayed the Republicans

KurtFF8..the rich guy...if he was not rich, then he would not be running companies and producing profit and ensuring jobs for people who need them. Those people who need the jobs agree to work for money. They are not forced to work. The US is a free country

I agree. Rich people shouldn't pay any taxes so that they can create more jobs for the workers.[/sarcasm]

No, that is how Obama portrayed the rich, who actually voted for Obama according to CNN's exit polls.
