Wandering the information superhighway, he came upon the last refuge of civilization, PoFo, the only forum on the internet ...

Political and non-political satire; all those terribly biased analogies live here.

Boon, I think he means that exposure to these games may warp kids, BUT that doesn't mean the games shouldn't exist. It means we should not blame the games, but the parents who abandon their children to the TV set. So the kids should be able to play the games, but with balance, doing other things and understanding what is fantasy.

Saf is semi-correct, IF (and that is a big if) these games "warp" the minds of children, parents should try to balance out the time these kids play games.

Boon, maybe you give too much credit to CWAS. He blames videogames for violence.

It's incredibly ignorant to say that, by the way.

Two cartoons! Or is this another one of your "Trying to be ironic, which isn't funny" kind of thing?

So posting a cartoon, equates with agreeing with what it says? You shouldn't be so simple minded. I noticed you ignored the fact that it's two cartoons out of many. Use your critical thinking skillz

Pretty much. Why would you post them if you didn't agree with them or was trying to be ironic but failing miserably?

because I have the abilty two hold two opposing thoughts, and cut and paste an image link, without my whole political and philosophical worldview collapsing in on itself.

So you're a practicer of doublethink?

no that would imply that I believe 2-3-4 or 5 ideas on to 100. I just have the ability to validate them cognitively and cerebrate upon them.

I have no idea where you're going with this. Do you mean to say that you think that videogames have no contribution to violence, but you agree with the cartoons?

I find the cartoons amusing. On the topic of video game contribution to violence, at best the logic is specious. It glorifies violence, but it contibutes to it about as much as Porn to rape. There are two totally different psychological issues at play. In the very extreme forms it can de-sensitize an undeveloped mind, but this is essentially of no sociological significance, since our postmodern culture does it anyway, a prime example being Death Watch Inc. It's nothing a little parenting couldn't curb.
