Ok, so you want a sig image to reflect your views. How bout a poster of Bush, or a poster of Osama, hey even those lovable Teletubbies.
Thats fine but you must follow these simple rules:
Sig images must be 400x100 i.e this size:
If you are unable to create a sig due to lack of relevent program, time or creativity you could always ask for one to be made by another member. This normally works out quite well.
But lets say you do have a program, you have lots of time and you know exactly what you want. You've made your sig 400x100 and it's sitting on your hard drive. How can you get it in your posts?!
Firstly you will need a host. If you have payed for space due to your ISP or website. Thats great. But maybe you don't have any, what can you do?
Sign up for one of those Free websites places, (Geocities, Tripod etc.)
Then ON YOUR COMPUTER rename the file extension of your JPEG or GIF sig to the file extension '.txt'.
<If you can't see the extension and you're using Windows, just go to TOOLS > FOLDER OPTIONS then click on the tab that says VIEW, look in the ADVANCED SETTINGS and un-check the box next to HIDE FILE EXTENSIONS FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES>
Okay, so you've renamed "mysig.jpg" to "mysig.txt"
Upload it to your free website. Then find out its Address, this can be done easily by 'opening' the file from the webspace and copying the address bar.
To put it in your Signature here at PoFo, go to your PROFILE and copy and copy into the box called "Signature" this:
Replace to URL with your own and make sure you have "Always attach my signature" selected as "Yes" and Voila! You have a signature image.
Please Remeber that your sig image will automatically appear in any previous posts so there is no need to create a "Sig Test" thread.
However feel free to create a thread for the discussion of your sig image, and ask for other members imputs and opinions.
Your sig will [eventually] be placed in the "Gallery" If you create more than 3 signature images you will be given your own special section.
