Defense and combat are entirely different. Combat entails offensive maneuvers as well. Something that in my opinion is not advisable for a woman in a civilian defensive situation. In this age of political correctness, I understand what you are going through as an instructor for the military. I am a 24 year veteran (retired) myself. My point is simply that, women already know their limitations physically to that of a man, even though political correctness causes some to try and prove otherwise. I have no doubt that there are women out there that can kick the crap out of some men; but as a general rule, that will not be the case. Overconfidence and political correctness can get one killed in a real world situation...
