Working people should see and understand this. They need to remind themselves of this every time they stand up for the interests of corporations and the wealthy.

Those people do not give a fuck about you. You are a piece of machinery to them. An annoying piece of machinery they would love to get rid of. You are not "family", you are not "their best asset". You are in fact, a liability on a piece of paper.

Fuck assholes like that guy, and hopefully he gets hit by truck.

Yeah, the guy is getting it from all directions right now on Twitter. He made an apology but he is a perfect illustration on what is wrong with society. The top 1% doesn't care about you. They care about their pockets. And if you ask for a share of the pie, to him you should just flood the labor market and make everyone unemployed so you'd be thankful from the crumbs he drops. Marx explains this kind of thinking very well in his Labor power theory so again Marx is on the money. And the idea this guy thought it be ok to say this during a cost of living crisis speaks volumes to me.

It's guillotine o'clock.

Billionaires are far more reliant upon society than the poorest person to ever live. What kind of infrastructure do you need to dock a yacht, or schedule a flight on a private jet? What municipal efforts are needed to build and maintain a gated community of mansions? Rich people need pipes to send their shit down same as us all.

Money doesn't even exist outside the concept of society. I've never heard of a barter billionaire who trades chickens and cows and whatnot to maintain his mega yacht. I guess we would have called them kings, but feudalism is over.

A poor person survives in spite of society and without its help (or what little help we give them). A billionaire can only exist within one. And they shouldn't exist at all.

It's funny or ironic that on Thursday, the MMTer Bill Mitchell posted on his blog that the RBofA can't get the unemployment rate to increase much at all. Maybe the RBA needs to bite the bullet and raise rates to 20% the next time. That ought to cause a recession and a recession does increase unemployment.

This guy’s mistake was to say out loud what every other member of his class is thinking.

I’ve been saying this for twenty years on PoFo and I’m going to say it again now: the capitalist class and the working class have conflicting economic interests. Anyone who doesn’t understand that doesn’t understand the society they are living in.

@Potemkin :

And people ask why a few others are still socialists. The Rich and the Wicked (but a repeated myself, sorry), they would replace everyone else with robot servants and kill everyone else if they could, to live in their " paradise".
