In fairness Demo he did say he didnt like either party ... he was just making apoint that the big business side of the republican party is particularly disturbing to him, for once I actually agree with him.

If you think of the big business side of the Democratic party it might look somewhat like the repub party but at least the Dems side with the little man ... giving them a slightly better image.

Yes, I know they have that image of "siding with the little man" but that is exactly why I resent them so much because when you look into their "siding with the little man" you find more often than not they are really just siding with a different kind of fat cat, not the truly little man.And speaking as a "little man" myself I feel much better represented by the Republicans than the Dems. Not that I will give either party too much leeway.

I used to be a Democrat, My parent were Democrats, I did some reading, looked into things and found the Dems are not what they pretend to be.

Privatize Social Security:
(not Canadian, but I say yes) Rep

School Vouchers:
yes (Rep)

Global Warming Prevention:
no (Rep)

Drug Laws:
yes (Rep)

Welfare:
no (Rep)

Tax Cuts:

Immigration:

Armed Forces Spending:
for the Canadian army, an emphatic YES  (Rep)

Foreign Aid:
yes (Dem)

Now for Canada it's a little more complicated, because we have 5 main parties rather than two.

Basically, if you came up mostly Democrats, then you'd be NDP or left-leaning Liberal.

If you have equally matched showings you're probably Liberal or red Tory.

Mostly Republican means Canadian Alliance. Which would be exactly my party. :D
