Gonna come clean, I am posting this so I don't lose it. It's ten of the best works of literary fantasy, and I am going to try at least a few of them.
I have little doubt some will be overly literary for my somewhat pedestrian tastes, but you never know. I grew up reading things like Lord of the Rings and the delightful Princess Bride (the movie is good, the book is even better).
Anyway, sounds like fun.
