It's an interesting analysis, to be sure. I disagree with some of the concluding points made about the categorization of fascism, especially the description of the Freedom Party of Austria and the Taliban as fascist or fascistic parties. The authors seem to equate any movement that promotes a specific religion or ethnocultural homogeneity as fascist, although historically most fascist parties (excluding parafascist states like Spain and VF-led Austria) were neither in favor of a specific religion or, necessarily, ethnic homogeneity, the actions of the NSDAP and similar parties notwithstanding.
