I don't know if you heard much about it in America, but the Brits here will know what I'm talking about. Last Wednesday, a presenter of the British motoring show Top Gear was airlifted to hospital after a 300mph crash in a dragster after attempting to break the British land speed record. He is suffering significant brain injury, but he is now walking and talking again. Apparently he has suffered no other injury apart from a black eye. This is a testament to his safety equipment. 10 years ago he would be dead.
