It's weird because Perfect Day and that track on their first banana cover album really did translate across existentially from the product they he was singing about. That first track was like a Samuel Coleridge poem. No everybody would understand this.

Loaded is my favourite Velvet Underground album.

As Brian Eno said, those who bought The Velvet Underground & Nico probably went on to start a band.

Lou was a great musician and tremendously influential. A true rock and roll legend.

I know this is quite late but RIP.

Many folks in NYC (where he was from) listened to his music in the week after he died.

Another interesting fact is that he died on Sunday Morning (the name of a Velvet Underground song)
