Spotlight: fire breaks out in ancient town, Shangri-la
Editor's note: A raging fire broke out in an ancient town in Shangri-la in southwest China's Yunnan Province, coined as "lost paradise". More than 240 houses were damaged and another 43 had to be dismantled, and probe says the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
This incident has drawn a worldwide attention, as Shangri-la was once depicted as the mythical Himalayan land in James Hilton's 1933 novel Lost in Horizon.
The reconstruction work is in full swing at the moment. China Tibet Online offers a panorama picture of this story.
