I heard this interview and it is a bit concerning. Musk thinks AI might be in the future making decisions for human society without humans regulating it. That is very concerning. What is your opinion?

How about a nonprofit regulating everything? Lol. Even Musk thinks for profit is not viable for the future dealing with AI.

This is one reason why I think socialism is going to have to be the way to structure economics and ethics and morality and law and so on. Can't have crazy for-profit Google-type companies making all the decisions. They will not put human beings at the center of the social structure. They will make profit and capital the center. That is the model. But if you see what is coming? It won't be effective. Got to make humans the center. That is the only way to secure our futures.

I found this guy rather good.

If you've only got time or interest to look at a small part of this jump in at 34.50. He talks about regulating a very small number of people with access to huge resources.

I was always scared of AGI. I mean decades ago. I actually find it quite comforting and relaxing that so many smart people are now starting to get frightened as well.
