Currently we use pesticides to suppress mosquitoes, which kill millions of different species of insect indiscriminately. Now we've developed technology that allows us to target specific species of mosquitoes whilst leaving all other insects untouched.

We've also gone to great lengths to destroy mosquito habitats. We could potentially restore them and allow the 99.99% of mosquitoes that don't bite, because they get their protein from fruit juice, to return to them.
